Hazard perception test introduction
Test hazard perception is the second part of the event and must be submitted with time that the multiple choice test.
This part of the test requires you to view 14 hazard video clips of approximately one minute each on the screen of your computer. You must see these clips as if you were the driver. There will be 15 hazard to find – at least one of each clip. However, clip will have 2 hazards. The clips test hazard perception not contain any sound.
The clips feature various types of risk, such as vehicles, pedestrians and road conditions. You must respond by pressing a mouse button when you see a hazard developing which may result in the driver having to take certain measures, such as changing speed or direction. The sooner the development risk is identified, and a response made the higher the score.
Candidates can profile up to five marks on each hazard and the test contains 15 score able risk.
You Either click on the button left or right mouse when you think you can see a hazard developing. The speed at which you click the mouse button as a hazard develops will determine your score for that particular hazard clip collection. You can score between 0 and 5 on each hazard.
Le note pass for this part of the test is 44 out of 75 (ie 15 hazard x 5) for motorists and motorcyclists.

Hazard perception test process review
Each hazard perception test video clip begins with a freeze frame and a countdown from 10 starts. At the end of the countdown to the clip will start playing and you will be asked to click on the button mouse whenever you see a hazard developing.
To let you know that the program has registered your click, a red flag will appear on the gray band at the bottom of the screen – one flag for each click in a particular clip. At the end of the clip all the flags are removed before starting the next clip.
Some Tips on risk perception in determining the level of risk measurement
For example, how to identify and respond to a developing hazard, consider a vehicle parked on the side of the road. When you first see, it does nothing, it's just a parked vehicle. If you were to meet the vehicle at the time, you would not score points, but you would not lose marks.
However, when you are approaching your vehicle, you will notice that the indicator on the right of the car begins to flashing. The indicator would lead you to believe that the driver of the vehicle intends to depart, therefore, the danger is in the process and develop a response at this stage would scratch. The indicator next to a sign that the parked vehicle has changed its status from a potential danger in risk of development.
When you approach your vehicle, you will probably see the vehicle starts to move far side of the road, another answer must be made at this point. Different clips in the test will have various signs to indicate that the hazard is changing status and is now beginning to develop.
